Ok guys! Go easy on me...
This is about 45 seconds of a jam I recorded with my brother playing guitar along with a bass player friend.
Just looking for any advice anyone has. I think my playing feels on top here. We didn't record this one to a click. I'm playing pretty simply here, but how does the kit sound? How does the time sound? etc. Thanks for any advice ahead of time!

Hey Thomas!
Thats some great sutff man! I really enjoyed that!
Your timing seemed fine to me...like you said, on top of the beat. In terms of sound, it was fine, your snare is a little dry for my liking but thats just personal! Great stuff, i wish i had people like that to play with!

Sounds great Thomas! The feel and timing are fine. Just could use a little more kick in the mix. Nice job!

Thanks much for the comments guys. Great point about the kick drum, Andy. It is very low. Maybe I will repost something later when we fix the mix. Thanks again Andy and S.P for taking the time out to comment. It means alot.

Yeah, ditto what the other guys said. The bass is very hot as well, and i think the mix would benfit from less of it. Also, more snare! The backbeat isn't as obvious as id like. But playing-wise, sounding wicked.

Yeah sounds great man!
I think you're doing everything just right groovewise, the Bass-part asks for a hip groove.

Thanks for all the comments guys! It is mucho appreciated.
Ladanny, I kept trying to squeeze the blushda in there, but the other guys kept giving me the .
Then, I remembered Steve's old addage "It's not a toy!"
Seriously, it might sound cool though...maybe instead of that six-stroke roll...
Uh-oh... The blushda has me...

You sound good man, and I love your brother's guitar sound. Good playing all around.
